MEYLAN, FRANCE / ACCESSWIRE / February 4, 2022 / Waga Energy will supply Air Liquide with 3 cryogenic distillation modules for two renewable herbal fuel (RNG) production plants that are recently being structured in the United States. The cryogenic distillation modules, manufactured as parts through Waga Energía for its WAGABOX(R) landfill fuel improvement units, separate methane from oxygen and nitrogen.
Air Liquide, a world leader in gases, technologies and for industry and healthcare, has commissioned Waga Energy 3 cryogenic distillation modules for two low-structure RNG production plants in landfills in the United States. The cryogenic distillation modules, which incorporate WagaEnergy’s patented technology, will be connected to membrane filtration equipment manufactured through Air Liquide.
Waga Energy delivered the first of 3 cryogenic distillation modules to Air Liquide in September 2021 for an on-structure RNG production facility at Mallard Ridge Landfill in Delavan, Wisconsin. It will begin generating RNG through the current quarter of 2022. The other two cryogenic modules will equip an AirLiquid RNG production facility under structure at the Winnebago landfill in Illinois.
Waga Energy, a company specialized in the production of RNG from landfill gas, has standardized the manufacture of cryogenic distillation modules for its patented WAGABOX(R) technology. Fruit of ten years of R
Waga Energy has ordered 11 WAGABOX(R) games in France and 11 more are under construction in France, Spain, Canada and the United States. The cryogenic distillation modules that WagaEnergy provides to Air Liquide are the same as those used in the high WAGABOX(R) capacity recently under construction at a Veolia-operated landfill in Claye-Souilly, France, and at the Enercycle landfill in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès, Quebec, Canada.
Mathieu Lefebvre, CEO and co-founder of Waga Energy, said: “We are very pleased with RNG’s progression with Air Liquide. An effective option for fossil herb gas, RNG can contribute to the transition of our energy systems towards greater sustainability. We have a very strong relationship with Air Liquide. The Group has been with us since the creation of Waga Energy in 2015 and is our main shareholder through its venture capital subsidiary ALIAD.
About Waga Energy
Waga Energy (ISIN: FR0012532810, symbol: WAGA) produces renewable herbal fuel (also known as “biomethane”) at competitive costs by upgrading landfill fuel through a proprietary purification generation called WAGABOX(R). The RNG produced is injected directly into the fuel distribution networks that supply Americans and businesses, replacing the herbal fuel. Waga Energy finances, builds and operates its WAGABOX(R) games under long-term contracts with landfill operators for the uncooked fuel source, and generates profits through the promotion of the RNG it has generated. Waga Energy operates 11 WAGABOX(R) units in France, representing an installed capacity of 240 GWh/year. Eleven teams are under construction in France, Spain and Canada. Each allocation initiated through Waga Energy contributes to the fight against global warming and the energy transition. Waga Energy has been listed on Euronext Paris since 27 October 2021. waga-power. com
