Trump has awarded a summit of world leaders to the “Big seven” next year at his Miami resort, the White house said

WASHINGTON – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that a photo of her appearance for President Donald trump was taken when she told him that his recent actions were benefiting Russia.

“At that point, I was probably saying,’ All roads lead to (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, ‘” Pelosi said of the photo, which was widely shared after she left the White house for a meeting with trump on Wednesday.

Trump tweeted a photo of Pelosi standing up and finger-pointing at trump as he, other members of the administration and members of Congress still sit at the oval office table.

“Nervous Nancy unhinged crisis!?”Trump tweeted.

But Pelosi quickly made a cover image for her Twitter profile as Democrats suggested she got the best of it.

“This picture: a strong, calm, confident woman confronting Trump is iconic,” wrote Paul Begala, who worked for President bill Clinton.

The White house meeting took place shortly after the House of representatives overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan resolution condemning trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, virtually clearing the way for Turkey to invade Kurdish-held territory held by the United States.

Pelosi said she told Trump that Russia is trying to gain a foothold in the middle East and his withdrawal gives them an opportunity to open up with lazy words as Kurds reach out to the Russians for support.

She said Putin also benefited when trump at the beginning of his administration questioned the U.S. commitment to NATO.

And Pelosi said she told Trump that any withholding of U.S. aid to Ukraine helps Russia, which invaded the neighboring country in 2014.

The investigation into Pelosi’s impeachment, launched last month, focuses on whether military aid to Ukraine was delayed by trump to prompt Ukraine’s newly elected leader to investigate Joe Biden and a conspiracy theory linked to interference in the 2016 election.
