Donald Trump bleeding on stage, Joe Biden dropping out of the race, and MAGA returning to Washington are just some of the most shocking political moments 2024 has had to offer.

But they were not the only ones.

Here’s a look at the wonderful political moments of the past year and some of the memorable scenes you may have missed:

While standing on the same level as Donald Trump in January, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott awkwardly interrupted the then-presidential candidate’s speech to declare, “I love you. “

Before dropping out of the Republican presidential primary, Haley appeared as herself on Saturday Night Live in February. It was an attempt to mock his own observation about the Civil War and slavery, but failed to convince the audience.

At a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, a gunman tried to assassinate Trump, shooting the president-elect in the ear and killing a rally attendee.

After Trump showed up at the Republican National Convention with his ear bandaged, his loyal fans emulated his injury by taping tissues to hats or putting bandages on their ears.

Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy refused to let former representative Matt Gaetz interrupt his interview with CNN and outed Gaetz for having an ethics complaint for “sleeping with a 17-year-old.”

In an unexpected turn of events at the RNC, former wrestler Hulk Hogan enthusiastically ripped off his shirt while on stage to reveal a Trump-Vance tank top.

It became clear Democrats lost faith in Biden after his debate against Trump leaving the president to announce he was dropping out of the presidential race – allowing Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place.

Young people’s enthusiasm for Harris’s crusade clashed with their love for Charli XCX’s “brat” album and many, CNN’s Jake Tapper added.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American in Congress, made a “war criminal” gesture as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congress.

In a poorly won interview at the National Association of Black Journalists conference, Trump Harris “turned black,” sparking intense backlash.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. admitted to picking up a dead man on the side of the street and dumping his structure in Central Park, solving a years-old mystery.

During roll call at the Democratic National Convention, rapper Lil Jon chose to perform a politically themed version of his son Turn Down for What.

Vance encountered a half-hearted doughnut shop worker while campaigning in Georgia, prompting an awkward viral moment.

During the presidential debate, this time opposing Harris, Trump made the wild and false claim that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were dining on dogs and cats.  

During the presidential debate, Trump said he only had “concepts” of a fitness plan when asked about the policies he would implement as president.

President Biden told reporters that he “made 9/11” in a mistake. Which meant that he would participate in the September 11 commemorative ceremonies.

Adams held an impromptu news conference following a federal indictment accusing him of accepting bribes from foreign nationals and cross-donating from a proxy donor program.

Musk joined Trump in the electoral crusade in October, achieving his first memorable victory by jumping on stage.

After two aides suffered medical emergencies at a Pennsylvania town hall in October, Trump turned the occasion into a dance party.

At Trump’s famous Madison Square Garden rally, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe joked Puerto Rico is a “floating island of garbage,” which led to backlash.
