TRUMP CELEBRATES ” GREAT DAY OF CIVILIZATION”
Trump has faced bipartisan criticism over his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria. On Thursday night, the President praised the ceasefire between Turkey and the Kurds, giving it an “unconventional” approach to securing a truce.

He spoke about the violence in Northern Syria, saying it was like “two children in a lot.”
“You have to let them fight and then you pull them apart,” he said.
He called the fighting “nasty” and said it’s not fun “to have bullets going everywhere.”

Trump has already been criticized for what opponents said was an attempt to play down the crisis for the Kurds. Earlier this week, the President said there was “a lot of sand in Syria. So there’s a lot of sand that they can play with .” He said the Kurds, a U.S. ally credited with helping to eliminate ISIS, “are not angels.”
The President insisted that the withdrawal move would prove wise and praised the cease-fire as “a great day for civilization.”
The white house on Wednesday released a letter in which trump warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that sanctions could destroy his economy and that the world “will look at you forever like the devil if good things don’t happen. Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!
Senator MITT Romney, the Republican presidential candidate in 2012, said he welcomed the ceasefire but wanted to know what America’s role in the region would be and why Turkey did not face consequences for its invasion.
“Furthermore, the cease-fire does not change the fact that America has abandoned an ally,” he said on the Senate floor.
