The government of Uttarakhand has started this year’s Dham yatra Char with exclusive attractions for tourists and pilgrims.
At Char Dham shrines, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam works to establish cellular shelters for tourists or pilgrims visiting the state.
Ashish Chauhan, managing director of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) said: “We had with us some buses that we thought we would use as cellular night shelters to offer tourists a better experience. Buses have all amenities such as beds, pantry, air conditioning, bathrooms, living area. We also supply tents with the bus, for tourists who need camping.
Buses that can accommodate 3 to 4 more people will be driven by branch drivers and should avoid near GMVN tourist relays, “for the protection of tourists”.
“Mobile shelters will have to prevent near GMVN nursing homes as this will be the protection of our tourists and the vehicle. During the stay, the shelters will get the electrical connection of the nursing home and the facility to fill the built-in water tank. “Chauhan added.
He added that the cellular night shelter initiative began before the Lake Tehri festival, scheduled for February 16 and 17.
In an initiative to attract tourists, GMVN will also soon open a place to eat in Dhanaulti, where the former ambassador’s cars have been used.
“The branch had old ambassador cars that would have been scrapped. We thought that by promoting them, cars can be used only to generate long-term profits for the branch and introduced the initiative to use old ones as dining seats. the place will be open in Dhanaulti, ” said Chauhan.
He added that GMVN has also opened a place to eat outdoors in Mussoorie, which receives reviews from tourists.
