Thousands of people in Germany gathered for a rally against the Turkish offensive in Syria

Police were forced to cordon off a construction site in Leicestershire after builders found human bones there.

Workers found the bones at Catherine Dalley’s home in Melton Mowbray, Leics, a former care home, while clearing the site for demolition.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: “Officers received a report at around 3.30 pm on Thursday after human bones was found at a site off Scalford Road, Melton Mowbray, Leics.

“Officers attended the area. Keeping the scene in place and inquiries that are in the early stages are ongoing.”
