Donald trump has been branded “shameless” and “corrupt” after choosing one of his luxury resorts to host next year’s G-7 summit.

The white house announced Thursday that a meeting of world leaders in June 2020 will be held at Miami’s Doral national resort in Florida.

Acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Doral was selected from 10 other possible properties, the key shortlist also included trump’s Mar-a-Lago County club in West palm beach.

Trump, his fellow presidents and Prime Ministers are likely to stay at the luxury resort with their entourage, spending millions on accommodation and hospitality and generating significant free real estate advertising.

Mulvaney said the President was “not making any profit” and decided to hold the summit “at cost” (price).

He said Doral was chosen based on criteria including its ballrooms and living quarters, as well as proximity to airports, helicopter landing sites, cities, medical facilities.

He insisted that the US would actually save money from hosting the event there compared to other unnamed shortlisted sites in California, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, Tennessee and Utah.

But Mulvaney declined to say exactly how much the event would cost.

The President chose Doral, despite a key 2016 campaign promise, to drain Washington’s so-called “swamp” of corrupt politicians interested in advancing their own interests and lining their own pockets.

Longtime trump critic George Conway, whose wife Kellyanne is one of the President’s top aides, was quick to tweet that the decision was “completely shameless.”

Conway added: “It’s so corrupt … Obviously, they did a thorough review and found that Doral was the best trump property on which to host the event.

Asked whether the choice of Doral was a “huge conflict of interest,” Mulvaney again insisted the President would not make any money from the event.

He told reporters: “the President has made it clear that he is not profiting from being here. He’s not interested in profiting from being here.

‘Donald trump’s brand is probably strong enough and he doesn’t need help with that anymore.’

Mulvaney also took swipe at 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, whose son hunter has been forced to deny he is corrupt because of ties to a Ukrainian gas firm.

He said: “There is no profit here, there is clearly profit from the Bidens.

But the Washington Post claims that trump’s clubs have earned at least $ 1.6 million in revenue from his visits there since becoming President, with Federal officials and Republican activists forced to pay to live there.

Holding G-7 at Doral will dwarf any other official event previously held at one of the developers turned reality TV star turned leader of the free world properties.

The G7 sees countries sharing their economic initiatives in an attempt to guarantee the continued prosperity of their countries and the world.

The chief of staff stated that Doral was chosen after he was voted “far and away the best physical facility for this meeting.

He even claimed that the organizers ” said … it’s almost like they built this facility to host this kind of event.

Rumors of trump’s plans to host the 2020 “seven” in Doral first surfaced in June, amid claims that his aides tried to dissuade him from the decision, fearing what it would look like.
