Russia protests after us diplomats found themselves near restricted area

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan on Syria and invited him to visit Russia in the coming days, the Kremlin said Tuesday.

The Kremlin said that in a telephone conversation, Putin and Erdogan agreed to ensure the territorial integrity of Syria. 

“Vladimir Putin invited Tayyip Erdogan to come to Russia on a working visit in the coming days. The invitation has been accepted, ” the Kremlin said in a statement.

The leaders also discussed the need to prevent possible conflicts between the Turkish and Syrian militaries, the statement said.
