Shea Ryan, 10, was seriously injured at the site near Glenkirk Drive in Drumchapel on Thursday night.

Police said death is not treated as a suspect, but the investigation continues.

Det Con Edwina Perry of Police Scotland said, “Our brains are highlighted with Shea’s circle of relatives at this incredibly complicated time.”

He added: “Investigations to determine the precise moments of death, an almost suspicious concept, are still ongoing.”

Work was being done on the site through agencies, adding Scottish Water, to the flooding problems of Garscadden Burn.

The fitness and defense officer has shown that he is assisting the police in their investigations.
