SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Oregon Department of Agriculture said Monday it is pleased to announce a new and exclusive advertising resource www. oregon. gov/odaroadmap serving agricultural manufacturers and small and medium-sized food and beverage businesses in Oregon that it needs to grow and succeed.
In addition, through a partnership with the Oregon Department of Education, the new site also includes the launch of Harvest for School of Oregon’s online presence at oda. direct/OH4S.
The ODA used the state subsidy budget to create the dual purpose of expanding opportunities for Oregon’s food and beverage businesses and agricultural producers.
The Oregon Harvests for Schools program connects Oregon farmers with schools to supply healthy local produce. What’s new includes:
In the trade roadmap aspect of the site, visitors will find an online resource consultant and specialized articles. Oregon’s small and medium-sized food and beverage businesses face many obstacles to developing their businesses. While the state has many resources, it can be tricky to know and locate what you need. The design of the roadmap is helping a company by bringing together many resources at the state, regional and national levels in one place. Micah Elconin, founder of Season to Taste, a regional food formula consultant and Hannah Kulberg, regional food and beverage mentor, helped the ODA with the organization and content, making sure the wishes of the food and beverage industry were met.
The Oregon Harvest for Schools portions of the site are now available. The industry roadmap has more features to come and will be fully unveiled next month. The ODA will continue to update the data to provide better service to Oregon’s food and agriculture.
