Nancy Pelosi took trump’s tweet about her “meltdown” and made it her Twitter cover photo

A briefing with congressional leaders at the White house on Wednesday ended with insults, a walkout – and a meme. It was the first face-to-face meeting between President trump and top Democrats since the impeachment investigation began, and things got heated between the President and House speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The house had just passed a bipartisan resolution condemning Mr. trump’s abrupt decision to withdraw troops from Syria, and lawmakers were expected to discuss the deteriorating military situation with the President. But senior Democrats left the meeting early. Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer said that the President had insulted the speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi “ugly diatribe”. Afterward, Pelosi said of the President, ” We have to pray for his health because this was a very serious crisis.”

President trump did not appreciate this remark and threw a “molten” accusation at her. He shared on Twitter an official white house photo of Pelosi standing up and pointing a finger at him during a meeting earlier in the day. “Nervous Nancy unhinged crisis!”He wrote.

It didn’t end there between the President and his democratic opponents. The image soon became a cover photo of Pelosi on Twitter. Pelosi’s chief of staff drew Hamill clearly wanted others to notice the Intrusive gesture, so he tweeted a photo of the speaker’s cover, thanking Mr. trump for the new image.

Hamill also retweeted presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar’s reaction to the image. “Can a woman beat Donald trump? Yes. @SpeakerPelosi does this every day, ” the Minnesota Senator wrote.

This is not the first time Pelosi’s contentious relationship with Mr. trump has received meme treatment. Pelosi’s exaggerated applause in the latest “state of the Union” went viral, and photos of her gesture have been posted thousands of times.

Mr. trump calls Senator Schumer and house speaker Pelosi “Chuck and Nancy,” and has tweeted about them several times. “Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a waste of time,” the President tweeted during a government shutdown in January.

The President’s references to “Chuck and Nancy” also prompted a sketch during the” Saturday Night Live ” Weekend update, with Kate McKinnon playing Pelosi and Alex Moffat as Schumer gloating over their border wall negotiations with the President.
