Most Tennessee Interstate Roadworks Stop for Easter Trips

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee authorities are blocking nearly all structures on the roads for Easter commuters.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says the closures will be suspended from Thursday night until the morning of April 18.

The ministry says it is possible that staff will still be in some structural spaces and that long-term lane closures will be maintained in some structural projects.

Drivers convicted of rushing into work zones with provided personnel face a fine of up to $500, plus court costs and imaginable increases in insurance premiums.
