Ministry of good Ayd removes the largest child pornography site in the dark web

The notice says a Federal Grand jury in the district of Columbia has indicted 23 – year-old Korean national Chung Woo Song for his activities in “Welcome to video,” the largest child sexual exploitation marketplace by content volume. The son was charged in August 2018, but the indictment was sealed only on Wednesday.

The son is already serving a sentence in Korea after he was charged and convicted of operating a website that contained more than 250,000 unique videos – more than eight terabytes-involving the sexual exploitation of children. Forty-five percent of the videos analyzed contain new images that were not previously known to exist.

Welcome to Video was one of the first sites of its kind to monetize videos of child exploitation using bitcoin, according to the Ministry. Each user received a unique Bitcoin address when they created an account on the website, and the site had a capacity of at least one million users.

Law enforcement officials were able to identify the site administrator and the location of the server in Korea, tracing bitcoin transactions that were linked to the flow of funds on the blockchain.

More than three dozen others associated with the site were also arrested and charged, as were 337 users of the site from 24 U.S. States and 11 countries.

The Department of juvenile Affairs added that at least 23 juvenile victims living in the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom, who are actively abused by users of the site, were rescued during the operation.
