League of Legends is officially heading to mobile devices with a port called Wild Rift.
League of Legends: Wild Rift has been announced as the League of Legends 10th anniversary stream with a 2020 launch date. Pre-registration for beta testing on Android devices will open soon, and pre-registration for iPhone and iPad users will open later.
The game will not support crossplay with the desktop version, so don’t worry about any of the people in your solo game queue being a mobile player. It does, however, use your main League of Legends account so that you get rewarded for being an avid League player. However, not every champion and skin will be available in this version of the game on release.
The game looks just like the desktop version, although the user interface and buttons are all smooshed into the mobile screen. The graphics and models look basically the same, but no one knows what damage this will do to your phones ‘ battery. You probably won’t want to give this mobile port a go in a public place if you have a battery Bank and a constant Internet connection at hand. Wild Rift games are designed to take about 15-20 minutes, unlike League table games, which can take more than 30.
Wild Rift will also come to consoles, Riot says, but the company has not specified which platforms or offer a release window.
