Now that we’re only a few weeks away from launching a streaming service in the US, it’s probably a good idea to get Disney Plus sign-up ready. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic TV service, home to some innovative Marvel and” Star wars ” shows, so this is what you want to check out. Don’t worry, we are here to guide you every step of the way like your own Tinkerbell or Jiminy cricket.
If you’re new to the idea, Disney Plus is a monthly subscription service like Netflix that puts every scrap of content from Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and Fox in one convenient place. Kicking off November 12, 2019 in America, Canada, and the Netherlands, it’ll cost users only $6.99 a month ‘Stateside. Meanwhile, Australia and New Zealand are getting the service a week later. Curious about UK Disney Plus sign-ups? They’re due for release in early 2020, so we’ll update this guide as and when we know more (in the meantime, fill that Mickey-shaped void with the excellent Disney Villainous board game).
Even though the idea may sound limited at first blush, simply glancing at the huge list of everything coming to Disney Plus proves those fears wrong in short order. In fact, there will be more than 600 TV shows and movies available on the service as of mid-November. As well as the highly anticipated live action series Star Wars: The Mandalorian, that includes everything from Captain Marvel and Aladdin to each episode of The Simpsons. There’s even the animated X-Men series from the 1990s, National Geographic documentaries, and classics such as The Princess Diaries. Basically, it’s a varied lineup with something for everyone. If you ask us, there’s more than enough to warrant a Disney Plus sign-up. If nothing else, a subscription would make the perfect gift for you or a Disney-loving loved one this Holiday Season.
Anyway, let’s get down to business (heh) and lay out everything you need to know about registering for Disney Plus in your area.
If you can’t wait for the new streaming service, we have a link to the Disney Plus registration page below that will make things as quick and easy as possible. Just click on the button to get started. Right now, all you get is a preview site, but that will change at launch.
Want to try Disney Plus without a full commit? There will be a seven-day free trial on the release of the service, and you can sign up through the disney Plus preview site. Access it from the UK? You will be informed when your free trial is available closer to launch, but it is highly likely that there will be some incentive to sign up.
Disney Plus is out in various locations around the world. The shaky launch is perfectly normal for things like this, as we’ve seen it for services like Netflix, but it’s unclear why the UK is becoming Disney Plus sign-up so late. Here’s when you can get it in your area:
Disney is out swinging with Disney Plus price – it will cost just $ 6.99 a month or $ 70 for a full year in the US (the latter saves you roughly $ 14 overall). That’s half of what the US Netflix subscription fee is worth. It also sets Disney Plus apart in an already crowded market. It’s a really good deal already if you consider the quality of the content out there-Disney owns all the Marvel movies, the “Star wars” franchise, and a healthy catalog of back to back classics. That’s before you add all the FOX content.
Do you want something extra? You can also grab a bundle with Disney Plus, ESPN , and Hulu for $ 12.99 a month if you prefer.
As for the rest of the world, the Australian and canadian versions will cost $ 8.99 p / m. New Zealand gets it for $ 9.99 p/m, while the Netherlands will pay 6.99 p / m.We don’t have any details on the UK cost, unfortunately, but we suspect it will fall somewhere around the 7 pound mark, in line with the US price.
The only problem with Disney Plus is the fact that it is one of the many streaming services you have probably already subscribed to. So what makes it worth investing in as well or instead of Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and sky?
If you’re a fan of Disney content – including “Star wars” and the Marvel MCU – it’s not one or the other. There will be no way to stream these franchises other than Disney Plus at launch, so anyone wanting to check out new Marvel TV shows like Loki or the lion King live action remake has little choice but to invest (equally, there Are a ton of new “Star wars” / Marvel shows coming late for Disney Plus in the coming months). Want to save money on Blu-rays streaming new releases like Avengers: Endgame, on the other hand? Forget it if you don’t have Disney Plus.
Second (and perhaps most obviously), it’s perfect for families. There’s really something for everyone here. Whether it’s a smorgasbord of Disney TV shows for your younger or more adult projects like National Geographic documentaries, there’s a real breadth of content here. You really don’t get that anywhere else – except on Netflix, anyway.
Finally, the price difference between Disney Plus and its competitors is a real selling point. In most cases, it is significantly lower than its competitors.
