Following the approval of Israel’s reopening to vaccinated inbound tourists, Israel’s Ministry of Tourism has introduced a mini-site on its website.
The minisite incorporates all the mandatory data similar to local Covid rules that a vaccinated/recovered tourist would want to bring to Israel.
The mini-site, which will be updated in line with long-term regulatory developments, is lately in English and will soon be translated into other languages.
The data include the elaboration of plans of its (definition of the vaccinated and recovered tourist, list of approved vaccines and documentation required for access to Israel); During your stay (where/how to get a Covid test) and before your departure (testing and documentation requirements).
The minisite also includes links to similar data on Israel’s Ministry of Health and the National Front Command.
The Covid-19 pandemic has decimated Israel’s tourism industry, with the closure of all inbound tourism in March 2020 and continued uncertainty after stable growth in expansion.
This is a record year in 2019 for inbound tourism to Israel, with 4. 55 million tourists (up 11% from last year) and revenues of NIS 23 billion.
Inbound tourism plummeted to 832,500 tourist arrivals in 2020 and 401,500 in 2021.
In Israel, the Ministry of Tourism has made significant investments in the maintenance and modernization of the country’s tourism infrastructure, so that tourists can once again enjoy its historical, religious, cultural and tourist sites.
