Huawei unveils new 5g antennas ahead of China ramp

Chinese President XI Jinping warned over the weekend that any effort to share with China would result in “bodies smashed and bones ground to powder” amid ongoing unrest in Hong Kong.

With such a warning, the Chinese leader made during a visit to Nepal, reports Hong Kong Free Press.

“Anyone who tries to separate any region from China will die and their bodies will be smashed and their bones will be ground to powder,” XI said.

“Any external forces supporting China’s split can only be regarded as delusional by the Chinese people,” he added.

XI did not name any specific territories or countries in his comments, but they came at a time when Hong Kong protests against mainland China’s rules have become more violent.

Hong Kong police said violence was at a “life-threatening” level after a bomb went off and a police officer was stabbed Sunday. The protests originally erupted four months ago over a now-dropped bill allowing suspects to be extradited to China for trial.

China claims that “outside forces” influenced the protests in Hong Kong, which local groups deny.

President trump tried not to participate in the protests, but other lawmakers were more vocal in their support and invited democratic activists to testify on Capitol hill.
