Google Chrome update makes your history less gloomy

Google is reportedly testing a new feature for its browser that will make search through your browsing history and favorites even in Chrome.

First seen through Chrome Story, the search giant has added a new experimental indicator to Chrome’s omnibox that allows you to search for keywords.

For those unfamiliar, Chrome’s omnibox suggests possible queries when the “Autocomplete searches and URLs” feature is enabled in the browser settings. This makes searching for data faster and less difficult because users don’t have to enter a full search question in the address. bar to pinpoint precisely what they are for.

The new experimental indicator in is called the “Omnibox Site Search Starter Pack” and allows @history, @bookmarks, and @settings to be used as search tags when typing in Chrome’s address bar.

By using those tags when you search in the Google browser, you’ll be able to specify that you only need to search your history, favorites, or Chrome settings.

For example, let’s say you read a news article about Chromebooks on your smartphone, but you want to avoid it and do anything else. If you want to locate it later, you can type Chromebooks @history to temporarily view the article and continue reading.

According to Chrome Story, this new feature hasn’t been enabled yet in the most recent beta versions of Chrome or Canary, so it might be a while before you can check it out for yourself. However, search tags in Chrome’s omnibox not only save users time, but can even make them more productive.

We also brought the browser and the VPN.
