The Yankees? the lineup for game 4 of the ALCS is out and Giancarlo Stanton is once again not in it.
Aaron Hicks will bat third ahead of Gleiber Torres with Brett Gardner dropped to sixth in the order.
Stanton, battling a Quad injury, ran to first base several times and first to third twice under the supervision of coach Reggie Willitt on Thursday afternoon.
The oft-injured outfielder has been available as a pitch-hitter for the past two games. Post?s Joel Sherman reports Stanton is still on the Yankees? A list of ALCS.
Yankees Manager Aaron Boone said it’s the first day they’ve seen improvement from Stanton, and he?s ?s close? to the possibility of DH. Stanton is currently unable to play in the field.
If the Yankees were to remove Stanton from the roster, he would be ineligible for the World series if they advance past Houston.
