They are a favourite at Nottingham’s Christmas market, now expected to open in Nottingham a German fast food company that sells millions of sausages every year.
Extrawurst was introduced 40 years ago through Lothar Hagebaum, who sold bratwurst sausages and chips at stalls basically in construction curtain shops.
Today, there are franchises all over Germany and the logo is about to be launched in the UK.
The Nottingham location has not been revealed, however, it is one of three, along with Birmingham and a West Midlands grocery shopping centre, which will open this year with a plan to implement many more in 2022.
The British company’s chief executive, Sam Shutt, former head of retail hospitality operations, partnerships and business development at Debenhams, told hospitality online site Propel: “The UK takeaway market is expected to emerge from the pandemic at a faster pace than the catering market as a whole. , so there is an opportunity for a new cutting-edge offering on the main street, providing an exciting diversity of quality food at a smart price for your money.
“As a nation, we love sausages, they are the best foods to eat in the day pass. We are convinced that our menu will appeal to consumers and inspire them to become Bratwurst lovers. “
In addition to a full-size sausage, Extrawurst sells an XXL sausage and a vegan version, such as chops, frikadelle (meatballs), and shredded pork.
Bread accompaniments, chips and rosemary potatoes are served with a selection of sauces adding curry, mushrooms and sweet pepper.
The opening date has yet been announced.
