Drone attack sparks fire at Russian site, reports say oil depot ablaze

A Ukrainian drone attack triggered a fire late on Friday in Russia’s Kaluga region south of Moscow, and social media sites showed video footage of what they described as an oil storage depot ablaze.

Kaluga regional governor Vladislav Shapsha said on Telegram that a fire broke out after the attack on a commercial in the city of Ljudinov.

In a later post, Shapsha said seven drones were shot down and one of them landed in a “non-residential area. ” According to him, the fire was put out without causing any casualties.

A video posted on unofficial Russian social media sites showed firefighting vehicles racing towards a giant fire at what they claimed to be an oil depot in the city.
