CLEVELAND (AP) ? The Cleveland Browns are even taking hits from the field.

Star defensive end miles Garrett said he was punched in the face Wednesday ?fan? who wanted to take a picture with him. Garrett posted on his Twitter account that person ?hopped? from his car before delivering a punch that had little impact on the muscular 6-foot-4, 270-pound.

? Put your feet in it,? Garrett wrote,?maybe it actually made me wince.?

A Browns spokesman said the team is aware of the incident ?and the relevant law enforcement agencies have been notified.?

Police identified the offender through his license plate, according to a Cleveland plain dealer.

A fan jumped out of his car to take a picture with me and then punched me in the face. Hmm, putting my feet in it might actually have made me wince.

Was in my car, tagged me down for a picture and I broke the window enough for the camera to get my face. He took the rice and gave me a pillow.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 draft, Garrett and his teammates practiced earlier in the day at team headquarters before apologizing during their DotA week.

The Browns are only 2-4 after being picked as a potential Super Bowl contender after a busy offseason. They play the Super Bowl champion new England Patriots on October 27.
