Weve all been theresign for a free trial and then get dinged with a pesky auto-renewal subscription. If you’re one of the first adopters who jumped on the Apple Arcade train as soon as it started, Heres a friendly reminder that you can cancel before your credit card gets charged.
Apple Arcade launched on September 19 with a free one-month trial. And so far the reaction has been quite positive. Not only is launching a service with 100 titles, its free of microtransactions and ads that can make mobile gaming so frustrating. Overall, in the short time Apple Arcade has been available, Gizmodo is a fan of serviceas our sister site Kotaku, which described it as a mobile game without all the bullshit. (For what its worth, after pondering whether to fork out after a free trial, Kotakus Mike Fahey decided Apple arcade is worth $ 5.)
However, we get it. The avalanche of content and endless subscription wars is exhausting. There’s probably at least ten shows, podcasts, books, albums and other video games piling up and collecting dust in the queue. Maybe even if you like Apple Arcade in General, you just cant justify the extra $ 5 on a service that will be basically relegated to your train commute. If so, this is your chance to cancel before paying a dime.
