Rejecting savings warnings such as Larry Summers that their Covid recovery expenses would lead to greater inflation, Biden said that “the only way to deal with inflation is to create unemployment and recession. “

The Labor Department said Wednesday that inflation exceeding 2. 9% in December, to 2. 7% in November and the highest rate since July 2024.
Biden has continued to affirm that red states have “ruined” and want more investment in them than the blue states.
“And look, the other thing, Lawrence, I had a lot of criticism. Naturally, we have invested more in the red states than in the blue states. They manage manufacturing, how they manage access to source chains,” Biden said.

Reports have found that Republican-led states like Florida and Texas recovered far more quickly than blue states after the pandemic.

On Thursday, a new Fox News poll showed that nearly twice as many people think Biden’s management has upset the economy better, 52% versus 28%. In addition, nearly all voters, 89%, say they are incredibly or very invested in inflation, up from 83% at the start of Biden’s term.
