Tokyo’s Olympic organizing Committee said Friday that it will begin accepting applications for the 2020 Olympic lottery ticket in may.

The deadline for applications will begin after the end of the holidays “Golden week” on may 6. The official website is scheduled to go online on April 18 as a” pre-opening ” event, the organizing Committee of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games said.

The site will provide detailed event schedules and an explanation of the application process.

The results will not be published until at least June 14, after the new law banning ticketing comes into force.

Those who wish to purchase tickets from the official Tokyo 2020 Olympic website must register to receive Olympic idots. According to organizers, more than 2 million people registered until March 31. The registration website can be found at tokyo2020.org/jp/special/2020id/
